Ake App Evaluation 2025
About this evaluation
Ake is a digital support tool designed to sit alongside domestic, family, and sexualised violence (DFSV) programmes, with a particular focus on services that work with men in Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia. It offers practical tools, reflection activities, and resources that support change and safety between sessions.
This independent evaluation looked at how Ake was used in real services, what difference it made for users and practitioners, and what would strengthen its impact in the future. The findings have helped us to redesign Ake as an open, web-based platform that is easier to access, update, and integrate with existing programmes.
We are making the full evaluation report available here so that services, funders, and community partners can see what we learned and how it is shaping the next phase of Ake.
